A group of undergraduate students of the Phytomedicine and Landscape Architecture study program at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb, visited the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health, one of the partners of the Was2Grow project, on November 25, 2024. The host was Assist Prof Sanja Stipičević, who gave the students an interdisciplinary lecture entitled “The fate of pesticides after their application in agriculture” and presented also the content of the Was2Grow project, as the project’s results are expected to contribute to pesticide use reduction in plant cultivation. The students had also the opportunity to visit the analytical laboratory of the Division of Environmental Hygiene, where they were demonstrated procedures for pesticide analysis in environmental samples. The visit was organized as part of the course Soil Amelioration in Agriculture, led by Assoc Prof Monika Zovko.
