Prof Gabrijel Ondrašek, PhD , Assist. Prof Sanja Stipičević, PhD and Jelena Horvatinec, MSc participated in the 4th International Electronic Conference on Agronomy. The lecture entitled “Sewage Sludge as a Valuable Resource of Nitrogen and Phosphorus: Long-Term Monitoring Data from a Wastewater Treatment Plant” presented the results of long-term monitoring of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) concentrations in the sewage sludge of a wastewater treatment plant. The significant heterogeneity and the opposing trends in N and P concentrations in municipal sludge highlighted that the recovery and recycling processes of those elements need to be optimised. The lecture also emphasised the importance of improving biowaste management practises.
