
The 60th Croatian and 20th International Symposium on Agriculture was held from June 1 to 6, 2025, in Bol, on the island of Brač. The aim of the symposium was to present innovative scientific work by Croatian and international experts and to strengthen collaboration among scientists and professionals from various universities, research institutions, and industry. The rich program covered current topics in plant and animal production, food quality, agroecology and regenerative agriculture, biodiversity conservation, agribusiness and smart agriculture, as well as youth and education in biosciences.
Special attention was drawn to the presentations of our experts – Prof. Gabrijel Ondrašek, PhD, who held a lecture entitled “Impact of bioash types and dosages on physicochemical changes in contaminated rhizosphere”, and Jelena Horvatinec, PhD who presented an abstract on “Recycling fly ash for sustainable soil management: Impacts on crop yield and soil nutrient dynamics”.
